WordPress 3.5: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

FYI => Tweak by tweak I’ve been working my way through my OOP based WordPress theme WP ezBoilerStrap. Finally, I believe I’ve resolved one of the most frustrating bugs:

“An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

The error was coming from the Media Uploader / Media Library. Oddly enough, it seemed to be limited to PC based browsers.

The fix was to remove the function below. Truth be told, it was a function that was in Rachel Baker’s Bootstrap theme (which was my jumping in point for WP ezBoilerStrap). I’m zillions of miles from RB’s theme’s codebase at this point, but somehow managed to not address this function. Until now.

function bootstrapwp_enhanced_image_navigation( $url ) {
global $post;
if ( wp_attachment_is_image( $post->ID ) )
$url = $url . '#main';
return $url;
}
add_filter( 'attachment_link', 'bootstrapwp_enhanced_image_navigation' );

I’m sure this won’t fix everyone’s instance of WordPress 3.5.x’s: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” On the other hand, suggestions and recommendations for a fix also seem to be few and far between. At the very least, if you’re getting this error, perhaps this post might point you in right direction.
