Good stuff. Thanks. Now please allow me to sum it up:

Every (business) design project has context. Time. Budget. Colors. Etc. Great designers embrace the context and create something exceptional within those limits. That’s what real creativity really is.

On the other hand, crap designers are either unaware of context or ignore it. In either case their result is the same. That is, (usually) crap. Not because the result isn’t aesthetically pleasing—it might be—but because it’s inappropriate.

Or as I like to say, “Design without consideration for ‘manufacturing’ is not design. It’s art.”
