Says the article:
“In marketing materials, Acxiom promotes itself as ‘a global thought leader in addressing consumer privacy issues and earning the public trust.’“
Classic Newspeak, eh?
And in the next to last paragraph:
“Jon Leibowitz, the commission chairman, said consumers should have the right to see and correct personal details about them collected and sold by data aggregators.”
Really? So we’re each to pay $5 so we can fill in their blanks and self-stalk ourselves? How about opt-out? Where is George Orwell when you need him?
