Vision & innovation help but execution is what makes champions

Consumed => “The Ambush That Set Me Straight” by John McGreavy on InformationWeek.

This remind me of Killington Resort in Vermont. The new ownership is high on vision and big picture things. Unfortunately, their attention to the devil and his day to day details force you to appreciate the value of execution.

Or just look at the Super Bowl. The New York Giants weren’t really spectacular. Sure, there were a couple brilliant plays. But that’s always the case, yes? However, NYG made far fewer major mistakes than The Pats.

No doubt, the cost of getting something wrong is typically far more expensive than the cost of getting it right. Consider that the next time you want to cut corners.
