Three bits to add if you don’t mind:

1) These ideas are not exclusive to B&M/offline. Regardless of where the store front exists “Here! Come and get it.” isn’t good enough anymore.

2) That said, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it. While it’s certainly not rocket science the fact is few are fit to rise to the occasion of creating a unique and relevant experience.

Which leads me to my last point.

3) The irony here is that those who need to read this article (and those like it) the most, are actually the least likely to do so. Instead they’re probably standing face-first into a corner screaming, “Here! Come and get it!” Their expectations of being top-tier would be comical if it weren’t so sad.
