The future of EZ Event Tracking is soon

FYI => I bumped into Waypoints (a jquery plugin) and to be honest it inspired me to rethink my (jquery plugin) EZ Event Tracking, or at least expand its functionality and general approach.

What I’m thinking is that viewing certain spots on a page could/should be a Google Analytics event. For example, if the visitor lands, reads the whole page to the bottom and leaves, is that really a bounce? Or at the very least, wouldn’t you want to know how far down the page most people are getting? I’m imaging an event being triggered at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, or something similar.

Still a raw idea but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be worth pursuing. Stay tuned.
