Quick tip on Open Graph URL and Open Graph image
FYI =>I was putting some finishing touches on GNDC’s new website and bumped into an unanticipated quirk (?) with Facebook, Open Graph URL and Open Graph image.

Long story very short, when you share a link to Facebook, FB scrapes that page, gets the OG URL and then scrapes that page for the OG Image. It is, best I can tell, a two step process.
My original presumption was OG URL function was similar to the canonical tag, and not much more. As it turns out, OG URL is used by FB and defines the page where Facebook grabs the OG image.
