The new & improved Facebook Groups

Consumed => “Why Facebook’s New Groups Will Change the Way You Use Facebook” by Marshall Kirkpatrick on ReadWriteWeb.com.

Yes, interesting. As I mentioned a couple days ago, groups is the secret weapon that has yet to be properly explored and developed on Facebook. This certainly sounds like a step in the right direction. A more natural reflection of reality.

That said, Google Wave “failed” because it was  a tool for groups and not everyone was invite to join Wave. (Duh? No wonder it failed, eh?) Granted Facebook participation is far more ubiquitous but none the less that’s the hurdle in doing groups via a tool like this, everyone has to be online and on FB.
