Solid list, thanks for sharing.
Two thoughts if you don’t mind:
1) In 2013, does Google rely on a sitemap? Still? Really? At this point my presumption is, Google does its best to mitigate the effect of the human element on its (search) product. Certainly, they’re capable of indexing content thoroughly with or without a sitemap. Don’t get me wrong, it can’t hurt. (Unless you assume it’s a panacea.) But at this point, a sitemap hardly seems to be a Top 10 must-do.
2) Let’s face it, social media is the new black, or the new site map (if you will). It’s not just Google+ that’s going to help but social media presence in general. Whether you’re a fan / user of social media or not doesn’t matter. It matters to Google and more brands need to face and embrace this reality. Or as I’ve been known to say, “Social media. You can figure it out now or you can figure it out later, but you will need to figure it out.”
