More on reducing duplicate content

It’s certainly something to be conscious of. That said, when using a CMS the (static) page model doesn’t always apply. Pages are created on the fly, often based on a series of parameters, and sometimes content is selected and displayed at random. While I certainly appreciate SEO and the need to reduce “duplicate” content, the question becomes, “When is a page not the same page anymore? When is content being duplicated, or just misappropriated?”
