Maybe email isn’t totally useless

Answered => “Is there an easy way to post on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ in one action?” on Quora.

=> My answer…

I’m not sure about Google+ but Twitter (via a third party) and FB are both updatable via good ol’ dependable email. While I hate email as a collaboration tool it is ideal for simple communication like status updates.

The plus is also that you can attach a photo to an email and FB will post the photo and make the subject line the caption. The downfall is that if you send more than two in an hour FB will interpret that as an “album”…aggregate the two images into a single post…and sack the title/caption in the news feed. The title/captions are there when you view the photos in the FB lightbox mode but anyone seeing your “status update” in their feed will just see 2+ images and not the text.

Other than that, I like Postling. No G+ but I’m sure they’ll add that as soon as it’s possible.
