Yup! Because empathy is marketing Rule #1 .

I remember when I was the Ruthless Ruler of Planet X—the e-comm music & clothing company I founded and ran—we, including myself, used to make phone calls to new customers. Why? Because e-comm is not B&M. There’s an actual physical disconnect between brand and customer and the phone calls were a means to close that gap. It also impressed the customers quite a bit.
