FYI => Last night was the kickoff of the WordPress theme AU_Community. Rather than start from scratch every time, I going to develop a theme that specifically integrates with the AU WordPress plugin family. For example, AU_WPing has certain post meta data that I want the theme to use.  Once this integrated infrastructure is in place the design can be inserted and styled on a case by case basis. In short, I’m furthering the extent the tool(s) supports the biz model. Don’t worry, I’m not going to mess with the WP core.

Also, while we’re on the subject of dev, I’ve been using WebMatrix for working on plugins as well as this theme. While the cloud-ite in me winces a bit, being able to work client-side and not have to worry about FTP or even an Internet connection for that matter honestly does feel good (read: productive).
