I remember when music wasn’t just another loss leader

It’s a shame really. Music isn’t even about music anymore. It’s lube for the bigger machine. Granted, after doing music retail and e-comm for well over 15 years, I understand the music business is a business. I’m not that naive. None the less, it sucks to see it pimped and prostituted just to sell more hardware (e.g., ipods).

Certainly, I’d like to get back into music again but the business model is so shattered at this point I can’t imagine that dream coming true again any time soon.  Then again, you never know.
