2) The ideas do not apply just to IT.

3) However, there is one key point missing: Recruit and reward the right type of employees. The fact is, some people don’t want to learn/grow. Some people don’t want to be led. Why waste precious resources convincing them of the value of both when you can just hire the better growth-minded participants to begin with?

Yes, I understand it’s not always that simple. None the less, the importance of the HR gatekeeper is too often overlooked.
