Google Wave is Dead in the Water

It just goes to show you that money and brain power can still yield dumb-ass decisions – both before and after the launch. For example, Google and Google Wave.

http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/update-on-google-wave.html

This line sums it up:

“But despite these wins, and numerous loyal fans, Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked.”

Duh?!?! As if the invite only approach was going to make it easy to adopt? It was a team tool and having just one non-Wave team member meant no go. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Also left a couple comments at…
