“The point here is that very often, users don’t make a decision about buying a product on the first day. It’s more likely they’ll take several days to make the decision, but once it’s made, the purchase is usually completed fairly quickly. Are your customers the instant-gratification types who want it right now, or are they more like the Thinking Man, stuck for a time in indecision?”

Note: This takeaway isn’t for me as much as it’s a reminder for others that most purchases, especially big purchase with big impact, have a longer lead time. It amazes me when clients expect people to buy on the first visit in the first 30 seconds. That’s just not a reasonable expectation.
