Please explain The Chief Alchemist logo/crest
Question => Please explain the Chief Alchemist logo/crest.
Answer => For quite some time I had been wanting to do a logo or a design that embodied the concept of a crest. As the ideas for this brand/site came together there was obviously an “ah ha” moment. This was my chance to live that dream.
The components break down as follow:
—The pentagon is the panel from a football (aka soccer) ball.
—The color scheme was actually inspired by Spain’s World Cup victory.
—BTW, the use of the number 10 throughout the site is also a nod and a wink to football.
—The heart represents my passion.
—The crown just looked good and seemed appropriate given the broader context.
—The stars represent leadership, innovation and vision.
—The olive branch represents balance and collaboration, as well as knowledge and learning.
—The fleur de lis is similar to the crown. I just liked how it looked. It fit the spirit of the brand I was developing.
—The sword represents my honest, no nonsense, cut-through-the-bullsh*t approach.
—The sword also represents honor and pride in a knightly sort of way.
