Great way to start a Monday. Thanks Stephane.

Two things:

1) Re: “It’s not about getting the right answer, it’s about asking the right questions and providing insight”.

Brilliant! Thank you.

2) Based on what I’ve experienced the most important bit is implied in the final paragraph. The question quickly becomes, how do you get stakeholder buy-in when they believe that Define is the beginning and the end of the process? They (too often?) believe that simply knowing what they want is all it takes. The reality is there’s are no shortcuts to defining what the (real) business need is. It’s a process, not a project, eh?

Perhaps you can do a future post / article on #2? If we’re here reading chances are good we already embrace DMAIC. That’s the easy part. Getting others to see the light, not so much so, yes? Speaking for myself, that sales pitch (if you will) is where I would appreciate some insight.
