Business Consulting For The 21st Century Via A Holistic & Intelligent Approach

Did you say, “It’s just…”?

Answered => “How hard is it to build a trading website?” on Quora.

=> My answer…

You need to speak to The Devil. When you do, ask him about the details. That’s where thing will begin to come into focus.

Could you throw something together on the cheap? Perhaps. But then apply the infamous, “Ya get what ya pay for” and “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

For the sake of this discussion, there are three primary vectors:

– Design & Branding
– User Experience (as it relates to Design & Branding and Functionality)
– Functionality / Features

Each one of these is critical. To do them right, there are no short cuts.

Might there be some off the shelf / solution in a box? Probably. Will that match up well with your wants, your needs, as well as the devil ass-deep in the details? It might. But as that gap widens so too does time and cost. I would guess that the majority of the moderate to higher bids understand what’s ahead. Those at the lower end have next to no idea what it takes to launch and run a profitable business.

No offense but when someone say, “It’s just…” I step back, smile and say, “Interesting. Thanks. I have to go now.” Let me put it another way: if it were that easy everyone would do it. Think about it.
