Business Consulting For The 21st Century Via A Holistic & Intelligent Approach

It Made Darwin Famous

Consumed => “Competition” by Seth Godin on Seth’s Blog. Short, sweet and oh so true.

Competition — If it doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. It keeps you on your toes. It forces you to be better, more creative, etc. Competition is the flame under the ass of innovation.

A few years ago  I spent a hot second trying out residential real estate sales. This was after the glory days but before the current housing price reality set in. Within the first week it was obvious that for many of the agents, after 15 years of not having to do much to sell a home, there were quite a few Realtors who were lost. The lack of competition made them soft, saggy and stale. The lack of competition was the worst thing that ever happened to them. It didn’t do much for this country either, eh?

And finally, don’t forget, competition, it made Darwin famous.
