Best of WordPress plugin: Widgets on Pages

FYI – Yesterday I was doing some WordPress web development (and some design customization) on one of the new Apps4Rent sites and came across a handy WordPress plugin: Widgets on Pages.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widgets-on-pages

What it does is it lets you change a WordPress widget into a WordPress shortcode. For example, the base theme we’re using comes with a nice sidebar/footer widget but we want to use it right in the middle of the pages’ content text. The Widgets on Pages plugin does the trick. The other plus is that we can configure a widget once and then use it across multiple pages. Change the widget and all the pages update.

I’ll point you to the site we’re using it on soon. There’s still some more tweaking and tightening to do.
