Back to my (geeky) roots

Consumed => “10 Ways to Be a More Productive Web Developer” by Delwin Campbell on Six Revisions.

My value add (i.e., left a comment)…

Very helpful, thanks Delwin.

While I’m not a developer’s developer I would like to share a couple of thoughts.

0) Shouldn’t you have started numbering from zero?

9.5) Anticipate where flexibility might be needed, or worst case ask for clarification. For example (that is quick but admittedly probably lacking a bit), deciding to hardcode variable over using an array.

Yes, the user might have said, “We only have one of those,” but that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be that way. Nor do they understand what you need to know to do your job to your full potential. Architecting for growing and/or evolving business needs – change is constant is the way of the world, yes? – doesn’t have to mean complicated if your think before you leap.
