Well, that’s the key init? :) People using a screwdriver to drive nails isn’t the screwdriver’s fault. In the end, there’s a right way and a wrong way (to do anything), and as you’ve noted, most people do social buttons wrong. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be done right – if you make the effort.

p.s. Great article. Now can you get them to stop the in-yer-face modal / pop-overs for email list sign-up? They’re shite, *in most cases* :)
