11 Ways to improve your landing pages

Good morning Meg.

Hope it’s okay I add a couple thoughts…

– Rule #1 is empathy. That is, you can follow the above and still miss the target, literally. When using these seven, one must embrace the perspective of the prospect, not your own. What are their wants, needs and expectations? Put another way, it’s not what you’re selling, it’s what they’re buying.

– Also, avoid confusion and/or leaving the prospect with a sense of doubt. Those are the ultimate sales killer. I mention this because one person’s, “Keep it simple,” is another person’s, “Why are they being so vague?” *Never* presume they’ll contact you to clarify something.

– As for testing, I would recommend using a CMS. That said, Measure & Analyze, while implied in Testing, might very well deserve it’s own spot on the list, eh?

So there ya go, “10 Ways to Improve Your Landing Pages“. Thanks for your help.

As a bonus I’d also add, be sure to offer a “low impact” call to action. For example, Request a Quote and/or Schedule a Consultation might be too much of a commitment for the prospect. On the other hand, Sign-up For Email list, or the proverbial social media icons could be a better way to start the relationship.

Just because you’re selling today doesn’t mean they’re buying. Right? Right!
