Spot on. Three to add to make it an even ten:
8) “It’s a ongoing process.” If they promise “immediate results” or “you’ll only need to do this for a couple months” then you’ve found the wrong consultant.
9) “You should be tagging and shortening shared links.” Presuming you’re using Google Analytics, then they should mention (or at least be aware of) link tagging a la Google URL Builder. Brand-centric URL shorteners might be passe but when used properly they can be a great source of useful data.
10) “Let’s experiment.” Tried and true is great but in the ever changing world of online marketing, this week’s tried can be next week’s tired. A small amount of resources should be devoted to looking for the next tried and true.
